As members of ad "agencies," students learn about methods of communication (e.g., written, oral, and symbolic) by designing billboards and magazine ads, analyzing commercials, and developing entire campaigns for given products, all the while reacting to Fate Cards that change their plans.
The 35-page teacher’s guide provides complete procedures, handout masters, and assessments; the eight-page student guide includes role and product descriptions. The full simulation runs for 15 class periods, but may be greatly shortened by assigning certain tasks as homework.
