ANALYZING MEDIA INFLUENCES

Understand the often-detrimental impact the media has on teens’ well-being. The first half examines the effects that impossibly perfect images presented in the media have on teens’ body image, while also uncovering common methods used to manipulate both the images and the target audience. The second half looks at how the food industry’s advertising practices similarly lead teens to make unwise choices about nutrition.
