GOOD MANNERS
A Medieval Quest for Polite Behavior
CD, playbook with reproducible pages
Students dance and sing their way through lessons on good manners in this medieval-themed musical play. As they follow two goofy knights on a quest to reinstate good manners in a cursed kingdom, a cast of 11 to 40 students sing songs like "Don’t Call Me Names" and "Help Em Out"—recorded first with singing and then with only music so students can perform on their own—while learning key concepts like social etiquette, asking permission, and proper hygiene. A playbook contains an illustrated script with stage directions and lyrics as well as a guide to casting, making simple sets and costumes, teaching songs, conducting rehearsals, and staging the final 30-minute production. Grades 2–6. Bad Wolf Press.
