PRIVACY

Twelve lessons have students consider how fundamental the "right to privacy" in the U.S. and elsewhere really is, through its application to real-world issues including identity theft, the confidentiality of medical records, online anonymity, the media’s reach, credit, and privacy in the workplace. Students complete a mix of both written (e.g., short-answer and essay questions on readings) and hands-on activities (e.g., a mock Supreme Court trial, city council hearing, panel discussion).
